Common questions

Installation, power, connectivity, and care

Installation

Recessed or surface mount: which is right?

Recessed mounting requires an open wall cavity and suitable framing; surface mounting fits over an existing wall. Confirm the mounting method for your model on its product page and measure the wall space before ordering.

Power

Hardwired or plug-in: what does each model need?

Power requirements differ by mirror model. Some units are hardwired by a licensed electrician, while others plug into a standard outlet. Check the power specification and rough-in requirements listed for your chosen mirror before purchase.

Connectivity

Which models show time, date, and weather?

Time, date, and weather displays are available only on supported models and require a network connection for weather data. Models without a display provide LED lighting and anti-fog features only. Your model's specifications list exactly which displays it includes.

Anti-fog

How long does anti-fog take to work?

Anti-fog surfaces begin clearing condensation shortly after the heating function is switched on. Actual timing depends on room humidity, shower temperature, and ventilation, so results will vary from home to home.
